You do not need to take any of our Woodworking Fundamentals classes including Woodworking I, II, or III in order to take this class. No experience is required.

You’ll leave with a finished, food-safe cutting board you made yourself and the confidence to safely use key woodshop tools. What You’ll Make:

An original hardwood cutting board from a medley of assorted hardwoods to suit all of your chopping or slicing needs.

Skills & Concepts You’ll Learn:

Essential woodshop safety
Dimensionalizing wood
Joint, plane and cut to square up wood
Gluing and clamping for custom blanks
Squaring edges with a planer
Sanding and applying an oil finish
Cutting board care and maintenance
