It’s like a book library, but for tools!

$150 gets you access to over 6,000 home renovation, lawn, and garden tools to take home for a whole year. There is no additional fee per tool or per checkout after the initial membership fee. Anyone can register, no special certifications or experience needed. Get a membership, checkout tools, and get to work in the same day.

How to use The Tool Library:

  1. Look over our common “What the Heck’s a Tool Library?” questions and answers.

  2. Purchase a membership online.

  3. Come by during out Tool Library Lending Open Hours and pick up some tools!

  • We have over 6,000 tools to take home for home maintenance, renovation, lawn, garden, DIY projects, woodworking, metalworking, your automobile, and your bicycle. You can see a bigger list by browsing our inventory.

  • We do not charge per tool that you rent, instead we charge for memberships. There is no additional fee to borrow tools after your membership is paid for. Different types of Tool Library Memberships and their prices are listed here.

  • The amount of tools you can check out varies based on your type of membership, but for a basic membership, you can borrow up to 10 tools at a time, 3 of which can be power tools.

  • You can borrow tools for up to one week, and you are allowed one renewal during your checkout period so long as none of your tools are in high-demand.

  • Unfortunately we cannot reserve tools for members. You are always welcome to contact us and ask if we have a specific tool in stock before you come in.

  • Browse through our different types of memberships here. You can buy online or show up at the shop during open hours to purchase your membership and pick up your tools same day. Bring an ID and a credit card to keep on file.

About Gift Memberships

  • As soon as you make your gift purchase, you will receive a confirmation. This confirmation does not contain the gift code. Gift codes could take up to a day or two to send out.

  • Gift Memberships do not expire.

  • The person receiving the gift will be required to put a payment method on file. For our Gift One-Time Project Checkouts only, there is a refundable $0.50 charge that our payment processor requires to verify their payment method.

  • For annual memberships, your code will discount the first year of a membership, then charge at our normal rate after that. Memberships may be canceled at anytime.
