Refunds, Transfers, Know Before You Go & More
Things to Know Before Class
Come a little early: Classes need to start on time and the door needs to be locked for a class to start. If you are late, you may be locked out, and there will not be an option to reschedule or receive a refund.
Wait to be let in: For security reasons, our door sometimes needs to be locked before class while teachers set up in the back of the shop. If you arrive early and the door is locked, please wait until the time your class starts.
Class Cancelations: All classes do have a minimum number of students required for the class to proceed that you can find in the class listing. Though it is rare, we may reach out to you a day or two before explaining that we need to cancel/reschedule the class. You will get a full refund.
Dress Appropriately: You may be working with some serious tools that can catch loose objects! Please review the "Clothing/Equipment Requirements" section of your class listing.
Minors Under 18: Please check the "Age Limit" policy in the listing of the class. If there is someone under 18 attending, they need to be accompanied by an adult during the class.
Water Bottles & Snacks: It's best to bring a water bottle and if the class is on the longer side - bring some snacks!
Parking/Entrance: The best place to park is on the eastside of Santa Fe Drive (across from the shop), or on 5th Ave between Santa Fe Drive and Kalamath Street. Enter through the front door on Santa Fe Drive at 555 Santa Fe Drive. Click to see a parking map.
Special Assistance: If you have special requirements and need assistance, or if there is anything that you would like your instructor to know about you before class, please reach out!
Basic English Required: Due to safety reasons, all students are required to communicate in basic English or have translation assistance.
Code of Conduct: Behavior that disrupts classes, makes others uncomfortable, or creates safety concerns—including harassment, intimidation, or reckless actions—will not be tolerated. Participants engaging in such behavior may be asked to leave and may lose the privilege of attending future classes or events.
Class Refund & Reschedule Policy
We understand that plans change, unexpected sickness and emergencies happen, and you may need to cancel your class or workshop registration.
As a non-profit organization, we strive to keep class prices affordable. This pricing relies on confirmed attendance to cover costs, including pre-purchased materials and ensuring our that instructors are compensated fairly for their time. Last-minute cancellations are very hard to fill and prevent us from recouping these costs, which impacts our ability to serve the community. With this said, our policy is…
From purchase until 1 week before class:
A full refund is available.
1 week to 48 hours before class:
A free transfer or 100% credit is available. There is a limit of TWO transfers.
Sorry - no refund is available.
48 hours to class start:
Sorry - no refund, credit, or transfer is available.
Please note: if it's less than 48 hours before class, your spot is still yours. If you can't make it, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend, family member, or colleague.
