Join us for a fun and relaxing metalsmithing class where you’ll learn the age old art of heating and shaping various metals into beautiful art that you can wear. All skill levels are welcome from total beginner to advanced.

You’ll learn traditional tools and techniques such as measuring, sawing, filing, soldering and polishing to create a stunning mountain bangle. You will leave with a gorgeous piece that you can wear with pride or gift to someone special. If you enjoy the class, we offer a handful of other jewelry classes where you will have the opportunity to come back and continue your metalsmithing journey!

  • Class Capacity: 6 maximum, 3 minimum

About the Teacher

Liz honed her skills while earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in small metals and sculpture. Inspired by the world around her, she continued her education with a Masters in Cultural Studies. Liz’s extensive experience in metal work includes welding, blacksmithing, and a career in sculpture conservation, including working at the Smithsonian. Her teaching background ranges from first grade art classes to private jewelry lessons and has spanned over a decade.

Liz is the owner and creator behind Covert Metals, a one-woman metalworking studio located in Denver, Colorado that has roots reaching from New York to Texas.
