Welding II: Practice, Projects, and TIG Class

With Nathan Koral

*This class has suggested but not required prerequisites. See below for details.

Did you take Intro to Welding and want to try out the TIG welder? Do you have a project in mind that you'd like to weld together? Then Advanced Welding is the class for you!

In this class we will practice TIG welding, and discuss various metals like aluminum and bronze. We will have an extended practice session where you can revisit the MIG welders, or take the time you need with the machines available at the Tool Library.

Project planning and management will be our focus. You are welcome to bring your own project for consultation (within reason - please no large or complicated projects), or choose between a prearranged project of either a card holder or a coat hanger.

Whether you are an aspiring artist, an engineering student, a contractor or any type or maker, becoming a capable welder takes practice, and this class is a great place to start!
