Member Appreciation Party + Volunteer Opportunities

Things are Shaping Up Quick!

Thanks to the clever efforts of our volunteers, we cataloged over 500 tools last Saturday. Not too shabby! Just a few more unopened boxes of Tactix donations to go, and then we'll share the inventory online. Stay tuned...

In the meantime, we hope you can join us to check out our progress and/or participate in the next exciting stages. Here's what's coming up:

MEMBER APPRECIATION PARTY:
Let us say thank you with live music, beers and, of course, ping pong. MEMBERS GET IN FREE! RSVP HERE.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Build Shelving, Work Benches and Storage.
Sat. January 24th, times TBD. Join the DTL Volunteers Facebook Group to stay updated.

All levels of experience welcome, but if you're a pro, let me know so we can pick your brain in the planning stages.

Email sarah@denvertoollibrary.org to get signed up. This'll be fun. Thanks!

WE DID IT!! WOOHOO!!

Thank you from the bottom, top, both sides and middle of my heart. I am so proud of Denver right now - you should find someone to give you a hi-five by proxy for me because YOU ARE AWESOME.

It was such a pleasure to meet some of you at the Holiday Party and hear your genius ideas to make the DTL the thriving community resource I know it will be. I can't wait to see what we can build together in the next few months, and then years!

I will be sending out updates as we work to gather more inventory, build shelving and storage, and catalogue and organize the tools. If any of the projects ever pique your interest, you can e-mail me at sarah@denvertoollibrary.org and we will get you involved.

With crazy gratitude & excitement,

Sarah

It's GO Time!

Howdy! We are so excited to announce that our beautiful crowd-funding campaign to support the DTL is up and running. With your help, the doors to our own fully-stocked tool library can be open soon...

WHAT TO DO:
1) You can buy your membership
$60 founding memberships are available through the campaign. Get them on their own, or bundled with other cool perks from local like-minded businesses.

*The earlier you sign up, the more impact you have in ensuring this campaign is a success. Thank you!

2) You can spread the word
If everyone who's offered to volunteer their time to the DTL would take 2 minutes to share this info with their community, it would BLOW THE DOORS off this campaign.

It's as simple as copy/pasting the link above to your social media pages, and to any groups or forums you think might be interested, along with a quick blurb about why you want the DTL to succeed.

Together, we can do this!!

Thank you in advance for your time and generosity. I promise we will continue to work hard for you and your Denver Tool Library. See you on IndieGoGo!

Yours,
Sarah Steiner

DTL Tool Drive and Launch Party

Are you ready to get this tool library started? Let's do it! Please join us for live music, free beer (21+only) and giveaways at our very first Tool Drive and Launch Party.

Get in on the ground floor of this amazing community project by joining us at 555 Santa Fe on September 6th from 5-10pm.

Bring some awesome tools to donate to get in for free, and then christen them with "DTL teal" at our spray-painting station. Local band The Hooks and The Hollows will be there, along with plenty of your fellow Denver DIYers to meet and greet. Plus, we'll have games and raffles for FREE MEMBERSHIPS!

Since we're just getting off the ground, we'd love it if you could help us spread the word by sharing this post, or the Facebook event page, with your friends. Thank you again for your help in making the Denver Tool Library a reality. We'll see you on September 6th!

Hello! Nice to meet you.

We're the Denver Tool Library, and we can't wait to open our doors and start some serious community sharing.

We made this website for you to poke around in. It's a little thin right now, but is growing every day. Today we wrote the About page, where we try to explain what a tool library is and why we can't wait to get one started in Denver. Let us know what you think!

If you have a minute, fill out this survey about you and your local tool library expectations. We can use this information to help us get funding and make the DTL the best it can be, so THANK YOU in advance!

XO, Sarah and Cody.
