It’s like a book library, but for tools!

$150 gets you access to over 6,000 home renovation, lawn, and garden tools to take home for a whole year. There is no additional fee per tool or per checkout after the initial membership fee.

GENERAL INFO, FAQS & “what the heck’s a tool library?”

  • What kind of tools do you have? We have over 6,000 tools to take home for home maintenance, renovation, lawn, garden, DIY projects, woodworking, metalworking, your automobile, and your bicycle. You can see a bigger list here or browse our inventory.

  • How much does it cost to borrow tools? We do not charge per tool that you rent, instead we charge for memberships. There is no additional fee to borrow tools after your membership is paid for. Different types of Tool Library Memberships and their prices are listed here.

  • How many tools can I borrow? The amount of tools you can check out varies based on your type of membership, but for a basic membership, you can borrow up to 10 tools at a time, 3 of which can be power tools.

  • How long can I borrow tools? You can borrow tools for up to one week, and you are allowed one renewal during your checkout period so long as none of your tools are in high-demand. You can borrow once per week for an entire year (that’s 520 tools per year for the price of one new tool!)

  • When is are you open for tool lending and returns?

    • Tuesdays & Thursdays, 2pm-7pm

    • Saturdays & Sundays, 10am-3pm

  • What a cool concept! How do I get signed up? Browse through our different types of memberships here. You can buy online or show up at the shop during open hours to purchase your membership and pick up your tools same day. Bring an ID and a credit card to keep on file.
